1. Scope & Applicability
This Policy applies to all purchases of physical books, e-books, subscriptions, and services made through our website. It governs cancellation, returns, refunds, and exchanges. By placing an order, you agree to this Policy and any modifications we may make from time to time.
2. Cancellation Policy (Before Dispatch)
If you cancel your order before it is dispatched, we will issue a full refund of the amount paid (excluding shipping/handling charges, if any). Cancellation must be communicated via our customer support or email, quoting your order number and purchase details.
3. Returns & Refunds (After Delivery / Receipt)
3.1 Physical Books / Products
You may request a return within 7 days of receiving the product, provided the item is unused, undamaged, and in its original packaging with all tags, inserts, etc. intact. Once we receive and inspect the returned item, we will process the refund (subject to eligibility) within 7 working days. Refunds will be made via the original payment method (bank account, card, UPI, etc.).
If the return is due to our error (wrong book, damaged, missing pages), we will bear the return shipping cost. For other reasons (change of mind, wrong edition, etc.), you may have to bear the return shipping cost.
3.2 E-Books / Digital Content / Online Services
Since digital products are delivered instantly and cannot be returned physically, refunds are granted only in exceptional circumstances (e.g., technical faults, duplicate purchase). If a refund is approved for digital products, it will be processed within 7 working days to the original payment method. You are responsible for ensuring compatibility before purchase.
4. Non-Returnable / Non-Refundable Items
- Items that are customized, personalized, or specially printed per your request.
- Products damaged after delivery due to misuse, negligence, or external causes.
- E-books once downloaded (unless clear technical fault).
- Sale or discounted / clearance items (unless explicitly stated).
5. Partial Refunds / Deductions
- The returned item is not in its original condition (missing parts, wear, damage).
- Original packaging, tags, or inserts are missing.
- Return is delayed or processed late.
6. How to Request a Return / Refund
- Contact us via email: info@tarangprakashan.com or through our support portal within the allowed time window.
- Provide your order number, date of purchase, item(s), and reason for return/refund.
- We will respond with instructions and RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization), if eligible.
- For physical returns, ship the item (with original packing) to our Returns Address (we will provide).
- After inspection, we will notify you of refund approval and process the amount.
7. Processing Time & Refund Timeline
After receiving the returned item and approval, refunds are processed within 7 working days. Bank/payment method processing might take an additional 2–5 business days. We will notify you via email once the refund is initiated.
8. Modification of Policy
We may update this Refund & Return Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will reflect changes. Continued use of our Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
